Ibrahim Reyes was born in Santiago de Cuba in 1964. Exile took the family through Madrid, Bilbao, Chicago, and San Juan, Puerto Rico before settling in Miami in 1980.
In Puerto Rico, Ibrahim grew up attending military school and playing football soccer competitively. Planning, teamwork, perseverance, leadership and humility were instilled since childhood.
Ibrahim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 1986, worked in manufacturing and retail from 1986 until 2000, obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2000.
In addition to the practice of law, Ibrahim is an owner at the Puerto Rico Soccer League, Puerto Rico Islanders F.C., and Basalt Technologies; business ventures focused on the sports and entertainment space.
He is also a member of the Sports for Climate Action group of sports industry leaders at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change ("UNFCCC"), and particularly works towards resilient and sustainable football soccer in Puerto Rico through hurricane-resistant and renewable energy powered stadiums.
